left on read
/lɛft ɒn rɛd/
Very CommonSending someone a message that they open and never respond to.
Context changes everything. Left on read by a crush hits differently than left on read by a friend who's just busy. The term implies intentionality, so calling it out assumes the other person saw your message and chose not to reply.
