announcement channel

Common

A read-only Discord channel where only admins post updates, and other servers can follow it to receive those posts automatically.

The follow feature is what makes announcement channels different from a pinned message or a regular read-only channel. Creators and game studios use them to push patch notes or news to multiple communities at once.
