Origin and context
Sadge is a Pepe the Frog emote variant showing a sad, downcast expression. Added to BetterTwitchTV around 2020 by emote artist Zgamble, it became one of the most widely used sadness emotes on Twitch because its subdued tone matched everyday disappointment better than the more dramatic PepeHands.
