hyperfocus
/ˈhaɪpərˌfoʊkəs/
CommonAn intense state of focus where you lose track of time, hunger, and everything around you.
Often misunderstood as proof that someone with ADHD can focus just fine. But hyperfocus is uncontrolled and usually only works on high-interest tasks. It is not the same as being able to focus on demand.
